Aunt Karen is special for these reasons:
- She's really intelligent and she works really hard.
- She's passionate about human rights, social justice, government and lots of other things that make me very proud.
- She recommends great reading.
- She can cook, sew, craft or plant just about anything!
- She's a wonderful hostess-- great at planning menus and cocktails and making amazing food.
- She knits, crochets, quilts, weaves... I think she' has even delved into the Heuss-family tradition of tatting (making lace). I don't know how she finds time to do it, but it's incredibly impressive.
- She has a great sense of humor.
- She's supportive and generous.
I love you, Karen. Happy birthday!
