letter B, letter B, letter B, Oh letter B! Speaking words of wisdom...

Sometimes I just need to zone out on good things. Things that make me feel good.

Butter.
It's delicious and versatile. It's made from milk and salt and friction.
Those are all good things.

Books.
Big books, little books, true books, storybooks, old books, new books...
They are made from paper and glue and string and words and thoughts.
Those are all good things.

Baths.
The water and soap can make you clean, comfortable and calm.
It can make you warmer, or cooler or just more comfortable.
Sometimes a bath can make you nostalgic for a time that you shared the tub with your brothers and sisters, or when your mom or dad would help you wash,
or when you got to play with lots of floating toys.
There's nothing bad about that.

Bee Balm.
Bee balm smells like camphor and mint and lemon and herbs.
Bees love it, and they can make honey from the pollen and nectar.
If you pull out one of the little petal tubes and suck on it really gently,
you can drink the nectar too!
That sure makes me happy.

Braille.
Braille looks even more complicated than written letters do,
and it takes a lot of concentration to learn.
I like braille because I like to touch things to figure them out.
Braille reminds me of the blind man named Steve who used to ride the same bus as me in Madison, and how he read enormous science-fiction novels on the bus and the driver had to remind him when it was time to get off.
Memories like that cheer me up.

Branches.
Branches like this are good for climbing in, hiding in and they're good for animals to build nests in. They make me think of when I was little and I climbed trees every day.
They made me feel powerful.
