I saw this poster when I was downtown this morning: Steve Martin will be here the day after my 25th birthday! He'll be performing with his banjo on Sunday, June 13th at The State Theater.
I have loved Steve Martin since I was a little girl... I wanted to marry him. Like all my favorite actors, he's the perfect combination of goofy and charming and dashing and absurd. All of Me is one of my top five favorite movies. Really, who could resist the combination of Steve Martin, Lily Tomlin, Carl Reiner, Victoria Tennant and a big ol' English sheep dog?!
I tried to buy tickets for this event a few minutes ago. Sadly, two balcony seats with surcharges, taxes and Ticketmaster fees come out to roughly $96.
But I will keep dreaming for a birthday miracle...
