PR

Okay, I'm not going to deny it... not even going to admit this sheepishly, I LOVE PROJECT RUNWAY! I've been watching since the second season (when I was working the night shift, and the episodes re-aired at 2:00 AM). Actually, I think Alyssa Baker gets credit for piquing my interest.

This season, there's a guy from Shakopee, MN (who won the challenge in the first episode!), and another from Minneapolis. Naturally, they're both big sweethearts, but they are also very skilled! I feel a little home-town pride for them, and I hope they go far on the program.

I could do without the suspenseful music, and the editing that makes people seem cattier than they really are, but bottom-line, there are some really talented people on the show. As an amateur seamstress, I am always in awe of what they can make, and in a short period of time under high pressure!

I have visions all the time, of something I would like to wear, or some way I could modify a dress or a blouse or something, but what I make always ends up a little bit off the mark. I know I don't have any formal training, or the same quality of tools and materials that the pros and semi-pros have... but what I'm saying is, I am really thrilled to be able to witness artists working in a medium that I can relate to and get excited about.

Can't wait to see what's next!
